Secret Garden Quick Quotes Card Inspiration

Hi Alicia with you today using the latest Quick Quotes papers Secret Garden, available soon.  I took a cue from the bold and bright flowers creating a floral themed card set.  I wanted to use all of these wonderful prints.  I cut several "slices" of paper and positioned them with about an eighth inch in between the strips.  I used dies to cut some flowers and sentiments to finish off the cards.

I also made a video of unboxing this latest Secret Garden collection.  You can check it out HERE.

I chalked all the edges of my cuts with Lipstick and Green Leaf Powderpuff chalking inks.  I molded the flowers with my fingers and adhered them together with a brad.

This card I kept more simple with the floral papers and a die cut sentiment on the solid panel.

On the final card, I used four panels and popped a solid colored die cut watering can on top.  Perfect with the floral prints.

Rock On! Birthday Card with Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch

It's my week again over at Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I am using up old stash and I found a couple of these iridescent tickets I used in my wedding reception invitations.  I cut them with my Cricut but it was before Design Space and can't for the life of my find the cut.

I layered the cut on top of some rock n roll paper and added some stamped images which I punched.  Super easy since I started with the ticket already made.

Here's the sketch to play along:

Another view.  I inked all the edges with Quick Quotes Powderpuff ink in black.

Ingredients:
DCWV Glam Rock stack
iridescent card stock
Cricut cut
Stampin Up punches
Our Daily Bread Designs stamps
Distress ink Black soot
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions chalking ink

Quick Quotes April Club Q Video Unboxing

Hello, Alicia here today unboxing this month's Ultimate Combo Club Q April kit.  I made my first unboxing video showing in detail all the projects that come in the kit.  You can sign up for Club Q here.

Here are the four projects you get with the Ultimate Combo Club Q April kit:

I created one of the altered projects in a timed setting to see how long it would take.  This project the larger of the two mini tag albums took me 1.5 hours.  I do like to chalk all my edges.  I used the reverse side of several papers to make it my "own".

Here are some pics of the inside.  Club Q makes it so easy to put together with most of the cuts and score marks completed for you.  I tied some ribbon and created the photo tab by layering chipboard pieces.  The cascading flip on the back inside cover was so easy with score marks and pre cut holes, it could not have been more simple.  Chalking all the edges probably took the most time.

Oh Frap! Coffee cards

I finally had a minute to play.  I have been using leftover cuts and pieces from my stash.  I had these coffee cups lying around.  So that is where I began, then I grabbed my coffee embossing folder.  I found this sketch over at Stick it Down but I didn't want to use such sharp corners.  I thought this is a perfect place to use my Kiwi Lane templates!  Finally, I added a die cut sentiment from Stamplorations.

Here's the sketch:

A close up of the details:

I made a couple of versions.  This used the reverse of the Kiwi Lane cut.

And for the third card, I die cut a scrap and added a corrugated strip behind.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz/Sizzix On the go embossing folder with Mini Fresh Brew movers and shapers dies
Creative Memories printed paper
Quick Quotes Mocha Moma chalking ink
Frantic Stamper rounded corner rectangle die
Stamplorations coffee sentiment dies

Hi everyone, I played around with my Tim Holtz Crazy bird stamps and dies for this hop.  I went wild playing with my Distress Oxide inks.  I used layer techniques and even a water brush to color my birds.

I stamped the image a few times cutting the nose and eyes out independently.  I didn't have to worry about coloring (or lack of color) on the eyes since I put a fresh pair on top after inking the body.

I gave this one to my friend for his birthday already.

You can't see how beautiful these cobalt sequins are, they were recycled.  I think they may have been from a sequin blouse.

I used some unusual sequins I purchased overseas.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and accessories stamps and dies
Distress Oxide inks:  Broken China, Candied Apple, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Faded Jeans and Fossilized Amber
washi tape and sequins
We R Memory Keepers paper
Dylsions sentiment stamps
Funny Bones sentiment stamp
Colorbox black ink
Judikins black detail embossing powder
Quick Quotes Cool Grey chalking ink

Using the negative...Atlantic Hearts challenge sketch take 2!

Hello, I am back again using the negatives of yesterday's Atlantic Hearts challenge sketch inspiration.  Before I cut with my Cricut I positioned the cut in the appropriate place to make a perfect card of the negative.  All I had to do was cut a piece of patterned paper to put behind the cut and embellish.  Four cards with two cuts!

I accented this card with blue star sequins that match the patterned paper perfectly!

Here's my final card.  I used baker's twine behind the sentiment.

Don't forget to play along with Atlantic Hearts challenge, here's the sketch:

Ingredients:
Cricut cut:  United States Tech Case
Creative Memories papers
The Paper Studio paper
misc card stock
misc rubber stamp sentiment
Versacolor Royal blue ink
Our Daily Bread Designs stitched star dies

Liberty and Justice for All...Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch

This isn't my usual week for Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch but I decided to join in the fun.  I used my Cricut to cut my country shape.  I found a couple of neat star printed papers and inked some wooden hearts.

On this red version I stamped a sentiment I found in my stash.  I purchased this used, it was cling mounted with no markings.

On the second card I used a die cut sentiment that was part of the Creative Memories paper pack which also contained the red star paper.

Here's the sketch, there are alternative country choices, check them out at here.

Ingredients:
Cricut cut:  United States Tech Case
Creative Memories papers
The Paper Studio paper
misc card stock

Versacolor Royal blue ink
Stampin Up punch
Frantic Stamper Stitched Curved Rectangle die
